Nevada
Nevada is about 4 years old. She is flinchy and scared of sudden movements, but really such a sweet girl. She is working on decompressing, and will see the farrier when she’s settled a bit more.
Uhtavio
Uhtavio is a standardbred gelding in his late teens. He is halter broke, easy to handle and excellent for the farrier.
Goose & Sprout
These little colt weanlings came in together unhandled. They are working on their trust with people. Once gelded, they will be accepting applications.
Mama Iris & Baby Mira
iris and Mira are from a wild herd, they are still scared of people but becoming more curious of us. There was many stallions in the herd, so we suspect Iris Is bred again. Mira will not be available until she is weaned. Iris will not be available until we can confirm if she’s bred. If she is bred, she won’t be available for adoption until late 2025.
Dakota
Dakota is a young mare, under 10 years old. All we know is she recently weaned a baby when she came in. She is starting to come around with us, and while skeptical, she does her best! Dakota is confirmed bred, and due for a baby this summer!
Kiwi mini pony mare
Kiwi is an 11 year old mini mare. She is bonded to Abbigale, our senior pregnant mare. Kiwis adoption is on hold due to her being Abbigales companion.
Miss Abbigale - 25yr mare
Abbigale is in her mid 20s. She is confirmed to be in foal and will not be available for adoption until she has her baby and weans, later in 2025.
Adena- 23year Mare
Adena, like Paedyn, has been used as a brood mare. We’re told she is a driving horse. Adena is Paedyns best friend, and is very protective over her. These girls were both loaded onto the local horse trader/meat buyers truck together. They are very bonded.
18 year gelding
Dobby arrived with Gryff, who is a sanctuary senior here. He is not available for adoption at this time. Dobby has had some meetings with children with special needs, and is starting to visit our local senior care facility!
Gracie- 23year Mare
Gracie was sent to auction for meat only. While at auction, she ran into a bolt on a panel and got a hole through her chest. She has a very significant melanoma , and because of that, is a sanctuary horse
Gryff- 22 year gelding
Gryffindor spent 9+ months rehabbing his feet after he arrived severely foundered. Gryff is sound now, but with his age and metabolic disease, Gryff is now a sanctuary horse
Elide - 25yr Mare
Elide came to us from the meat pen emaciated. Her whole life she’s been a baby factory. Ellie is very fear reactive when being caught, and often tries to bite or kick. Once caught she totally settles, but she’s obviously had a rough life.
Apple - 30yr+ gelding
Apple arrived over a year ago, he was emaciated and has gained weight amazingly. Apple is on daily previcox but feeling pretty great! He has been diagnosed with shivers which is being managed currently. Him and Rigby have become best buds
Jack - senior gelding
Jack is a new intake who arrived with Ringo. Both senior boys are undergoing vetting.
